Ethical Trans Research

Researcher Networks


LGBTIQ+ Health & Wellbeing Research Network. Network to support researchers, promote a unified voice, and inspire evidence-based policy, established by LGBTIQ+ Health Australia.


Trans Researchers in Trans Research Network. Facebook group for trans and gender diverse students and researchers engaged in trans research in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand to connect with and support one another.


LGBTIQA+ Research Ethics Committees


ACON Research Ethics Review Committee (REC). ACON’s Research Ethics Review Committee (RERC) is made of independent researchers and health experts who provide ethical guidance to researchers, including reviewing the extent of community consultations and involvement, the appropriateness of language, indicators and survey questions, and the potential benefits and risks to participants.


Thorne Harbour Health Community Research Endorsement Panel (CREP). Thorne Harbour Health’s Research Endorsement Panel is made up of staff, organization members, and experts from the community who offer guidance on research proposals, promoting a research agenda to benefit people living with HIV/AIDS and LGBTIQA+ communities.
